A candle is both object and event. Follow the transformation from measured wax to a flame that changes the character of a room.

    Proportion before form.

    Wax is measured against the mould’s volume, setting the balance of weight, silhouette and burn before heat is introduced.

    Melt

    Bring matter to flow.

    Controlled heat turns the solid wax into a luminous liquid, slowly and evenly, without rushing its character.

  3. 03
    Align

    Find the quiet centre.

    A straight wick sets the candle’s axis. This nearly invisible line decides how the finished object will come alive.

  4. 04
    Pour

    Let liquid find shape.

    Wax enters the mould in a precise stream, travelling into every curve, ridge and carved recess of the form.

  5. 05
    Cure

    Time finishes the object.

    The form cools at its own pace before release, close inspection and a considered final trim.

  6. 06
    Illuminate

    Wake the atmosphere.

    Light animates the finished piece: texture deepens, edges soften, and the room changes around it.
